Dr Blackstock has carried out tree health and condition surveys on more than seventeen hundred sites. Between them, these sites contained about a quarter of a million trees. By December 2013, Dr Blackstock has provided about one thousand tree survey reports for Planning, acting both for the Planning Service and for Developers. During this time he has provided expert opinion more than forty Planning Appeals and has acted as Principal Arboricultural Consultant for the Northern Ireland Planning Service.
